SAS

The Smart Automated System (SAS) combines the activity of 3 sensors with our software to manage disinfection cycles and safety. The unit automatically initiates cycles at an optimal frequency when conditions are right:

no presence detected

> closed door or curtains

> free space for 45 seconds

Security

The SAS, certified by Bureau Veritas, shuts down the UV-C lamp in less than 0.2 seconds in the event of an intrusion during a cycle.

Disinfection will resume once the right conditions are met again. As UVC rays are invisible and dangerous for the skin and eyes, your safety is our priority.

Complete autonomy

Blue Zone has been designed to operate autonomously. Once installed, the disinfection cycles are started automatically when conditions allow and will then go into standby mode.

No human interaction is required for its operation.

Why UV-C?

UV-C is currently the best solution for sanitising a space.

UV-C technology was discovered in the early 20th century. Its effectiveness in water purification led to its adoption. Today, it is used by most drinking water plants.

Since then, the development of UV-C has enabled it to be used in a wide range of industrial applications (transport, food industry, health).

The impact of the Covid-19 was such that Blue Sun wanted to make this technology available and applicable to our living spaces. To protect against future epidemics, but also to provide better bio-security for everyone against all viruses, germs and bacteria.

This is the mission of Blue Sun.

What is UV-C?

The sun produces 3 types of ultraviolet radiation: A, B and C. A and B rays reach the Earth's surface. All living things have therefore adapted to these rays over the course of evolution.

The UV-C rays are blocked by the atmosphere, and the micro-organisms have never had the opportunity to adapt to them. On contact with UV-C, the protein layer of the micro-organisms is destroyed and their DNA is broken. They therefore become harmless and are unable to reproduce.

Blue Sun solutions artificially reproduce these rays to inactivate all micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, moulds) present in a room.

What alternatives exist for disinfecting spaces?

/ Chemicals: detergents require an agent to apply them. The effectiveness of this method is uneven and inferior to the solutions offered by Blue Sun.
Temperature: high heat or freezing - not applicable in most cases.
